Loss Prevention Trainings

There are educational trainings specifically geared for law enforcement and detention operations designed to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities employees need to possess to perform specific jobs, reduce liability, and obtain professional development. 

Our Loss Prevention Department also offers courses and onsite inspections that teach county members the risks and causes of incidents in their facilities and that help expand their understanding of supervision, management, and other skills. Description: This training will cover the best practices for determining when termination is warranted and its implementation. Participants will come away with a better understanding of how to assess the legal risks; avoiding disparate treatment claims; the importance of documenting performance and disciplinary issues fully and objectively; effectively drafting the termination notice and safely delivering the final decision; best practices for terminating at-will employees; and the roles of the supervisor/manager, HR, and legal in the termination process.
