Description: This training will cover the best practices for determining when termination is warranted and its implementation. Participants will come away with a better understanding of how to assess the legal risks; avoiding disparate treatment claims; the importance of documenting performance and disciplinary issues fully and objectively; effectively drafting the termination notice and safely delivering the final decision; best practices for terminating at-will employees; and the roles of the supervisor/manager, HR, and legal in the termination process.
