Description: This training will provide an understanding of First Amendment Audits (filming or live streaming video of public officials, law enforcement or public employees “to hold them accountable” or “test” the constitutional right to film in public spaces); auditor motivations and tactics, the right to record, where recordings can take place (Public Forum Doctrine), permissible restrictions, how to prepare for auditors, and best practices to avoid infamy and liability. It will also cover the emerging trend of First and Second Amendment Audits—where the auditor open carries. Employees who take this training will be less likely to take the bait!
